- What counts as an "extra" space?
- Two or more spaces or tabs in a row. When "Remove extra spaces" is ticked, each run like that becomes a single space.
- Does removing blank lines keep one blank line between paragraphs?
- No — when "Remove blank lines" is ticked, every blank line is removed, including the ones between paragraphs. Untick it to keep them.
- Will this remove spaces at the very start or end of a line?
- Only if you tick "Trim edges." It leaves spaces in the middle of the line alone.
- Does it work with tabs?
- Yes — a tab between words is treated the same as a space.
- Is my text uploaded or stored anywhere?
- No. Everything happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, saved, or seen by anyone.
- Can I undo a change?
- Yes — press Ctrl+Z to undo and Ctrl+Y (or Ctrl+Shift+Z) to redo, for as long as the page stays open.
- Is there a limit on how much text I can clean?
- No hard limit — even very long text (100,000 characters or more) is cleaned instantly without freezing the page.
- Is this free to use?
- Yes, completely free, with no sign-up.
